Slicked back hair was apparently all the rage at the NY Fashion Week for spring of 2012. The trend includes a wet looking, slicked back pony tail, or hair slicked back a little farther back than one would wear a headband (with a wet look) and then just allow hair to fall naturally.

If slicked back isn’t your thing and you have medium/long hair, try the urban wave. This looks says, “I’m trendy and my hair has effortless beauty.” To achieve this effortless glamour just spray hair with a heat protectant spray like Aquage Working Spray, run a 1 inch curling iron through it – doesn’t have to be perfect – and then use your fingers to separate the curls a bit with a texture paste and create a messy, almost beachy look.

Might we suggest something REALLY different? Like OPI Shatter?

As you can see from the video, shatter is easy to apply over any other OPI color, and works quickly so you don’t have to wait a long time for either the shatter results or for it to dry. So you can come in to Omaha’s Hair Choice for a manicure, or come in to purchase Shatter and do it yourself!

First, you must choose the color of Shatter polish you want. There are several choices – from pink to black. Then, based on the color of Shatter polish you choose, select a base coat color. It should be something that will show through the Shatter. Paint your nails with the base color, let it dry, apply the Shatter in a thin coat and let dry. The result is a guaranteed surprise.
